What you have here is a sample of songs I wrote in the early years of Sludge, that is the ancestor of THEN CAME THE RAIN.

"Selfish" was recorded just before the Sludge era, with a 2-deck K7 recorder. But it already has the feel of what will come next.

In 1991, I bought a 4-track recorder. The other songs published here were recorded with that tool. "Simple Song" is played with a Roland D-50, and with a Yamaha Portasound PSS460, that I recently used for a cheap version of "Shock Doctrine", released as Then Came The Rain in 2020 :

The "Bloody Mary" version you have here, also recorded on my 4-track recorder, is the 1st version I did, long before the newer version of the song released on the Then Came The Rain LP "Eigengrau" in 2018 :

Those songs are not published here for any promotional purpose. It's a testimony of my older works, that led to what is now Then Came The Rain. I was young when I did all this. My performing isn't great. The bass is okay. But the vocals and guitars are often weak and clumsy. The sound and production are terrible, due to very cheap equipment and lack of knowledge. Last but not least, my words were very naive then. But those songs I wrote back then are the beginning of a journey. It's a foundation, and without them, TCTR as it is today probably wouldn't have existed.

Call it a curiosity, and please be lenient.
